Wichita Falls area churches announce services

Wichita Falls First Baptist Church: The First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls has changed some times of worship for their campuses. We invite you to join us at any of our services.

The downtown campus, 1200 9th Street, will host their mixed worship service with choir, worship team and orchestra on Sunday at 8:15 am. Contemporary worship is offered at 9.45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The West Campus, 4317 Barnett Road, offers contemporary services at 9.45am and 11am every Sunday. Sheppard Church, 2101 Puckett, will offer contemporary services at 9.45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Living groups are available for all ages every Sunday.

Sunday morning services are broadcast live on CFNT, cable channel 10 or live on n20.1 or 24.1 every Sunday at 8:15 am and 11:00 am. The services are also advertised on our website as well as on our Facebook page.

First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Taft Blvd. : At 10:30 am this Sunday, September 19, 2021, Reverend Michael T. Hansen will continue his series of sermons titled “Me and My House”. The emphasis here is on the spiritual actions and disciplines with which Christians intentionally engage as a focus of faith. This applies to the First Presbyterian Church home and our personal families. Sunday’s message is titled “Me and My House: Worship” and is based on Romans 12: 1-2.

Join Michael and Maggie Hansen as they lead an exciting study teaching parents how to direct their child’s hearts to God. The study will take place Sunday evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will run from September 19 to November 21. A day care service will be provided. The Session called a congregational meeting in the sanctuary for Sunday, September 26, 2021 immediately following the service. The purpose of the meeting is for the Congregation to elect the roster of elders and deacons for the class of 2024.

Sunday school for K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. every Sunday in the Hallelujah corridor. The grade 6 to 12 youth group meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Undercroft every Sunday. Crossings will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Wednesday, September 22 until December 15. Children’s choir

will be offered immediately after the Wednesday Crossings, in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Theater.

Sunday morning worship will continue live and in person at the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. The Church’s COVID-19 protocols can be viewed on the Church’s website, myfirstpres.org.

First United Methodist Church in Iowa Park, 201 E. Bank: Come worship with us at 9 am on Sunday. Social distancing and security measures are respected. At this time, we still do not have any Sunday School or Fellowship events.

First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls, 909 10th Street: Worship with First UMC Sunday mornings at 10:30 am in person or live on TV-KJBO and online at www.fumcwf.org/live.

Floral Heights United Methodist Church, 2214 10th Street: In person and Facebook Live.

Mount Pleasant will observe Men’s Month Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The men’s choir will sing. The church will have a commemorative presentation during the Sunday service. Sunday school will start at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Morning worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. All members are requested to use the Harding Street entrance and wear a face mask. If you are unable to do the service, deacons will be available on the Bailey Street side of the church 30 minutes after the service if you wish to contribute tithing, offer and receive the Lord’s Supper. New Hope Presbyterian: We continue to meet at 10:30 am in a temporary location at 1801 TX 11, Loop, Wichita Falls. This is the former site of the Christ United Presbyterian Church. We will be able to distance ourselves socially and we will have masks available for anyone who wishes to wear them indoors. But we can worship together again. Our services will continue to be available on our FB page for those who have joined locally and across the country over the past year.

Baptist Church of New Jerusalem, 1420 Borton Lane: New Jerusalem offers meals for those in lockdown, food distribution through the Wichita Falls area food bank mobile pantry, clothing and health checks on the fourth Saturday of each month of 9 a.m. to noon. St. Matthew Baptist Church, 412 Dallas: The church will make a proclamation at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 26 in honor of the church’s 100th anniversary. The proclamation will be presented by Wichita Falls City Councilor DeAndra Chenault. The guest speaker will be Minister Essie Robinson of the East Side Faith Center, under the direction of Pastor Carl Brewer. They will honor 10 of their Elders that morning. Former members will come and help celebrate this great moment.
