In-person St. Elias Mediterranean Festival in La Crosse returns after COVID drive-thru last year
LA CROSSE (WKBT)—St. The Elias Orthodox Church’s annual Mediterranean Festival in La Crosse is back to celebrate in person this weekend.
The festival, free and open to the public, will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday on the church grounds at 716 Copeland Ave. It will feature folk dances, live folk music and balloon sculptures.
Meals will also be available for purchase, such as chicken kabab and falafel.
“Last year we held a drive-in festival because of COVID-19,” said event organizer Richard Markos. “The drive-thru was very successful because people responded to the effort, which we really appreciate.”
To purchase meals, download the Sabadash mobile app.
